R
eichert's Dairy Air
milks Nubian (Grade, not registered), LaMancha (purebred and American registered) and the occasional mix (i.e.accident!).  The milk of these breeds is rich in butterfat and flavor making it the ideal cheese milk.

We keep a herd of about 25 to 30 goats at any time.  That includes a purebred registered Nubian buck, a purebred registered LaMancha buck, 15 to 20 productive does, and assorted kids.  I anticipate selling most of my kids as I have a young milking herd I'd like to work on developing for a few years before adding any new doelings.

I may also be willing to sell a productive doe or two for home milkers if you can guarantee they will get a really good home.  These are my babies after all!

Gem

Gem is a registered LaMancha and the herd queen, and she will make sure you know it! She can be a bit bossy, but she is just trying to keep everyone in line. She has a nice steady temperament and is a good reliable milker.

Barbra

She has a striking unique look compared to the other Nubians in my herd. She also outproduced all the other goats, even the older ones, in her first freshening. Her udder looks like a cow's!

Doris

Dorothy's twin sister was born with a beautiful spotted coat (people say she looks like a fawn) and the worst case of airplane ears you ever saw. Doris insists on lots of love before she'll leave the milk stand.

Dorothy

Dorothy is a dream milker. Perfect size, fast let down, patient, just a joy to hand milk. Her personality is pretty much like that too, except for one little quirk. She refuses to eat high quality grain mix.

Hailey

She takes her job as second in command very seriously and can sometimes be a real bully about it, but she is generally very sweet with her humans. She is a registered LaMancha with what are called "elf" ears.

Joana

Joana is a big beautiful blond LaMancha. She won Ben a first place ribbon at the fair and nearly made Grand Champion as a yearling. She's a bit of a dim bulb, but comes from great milking lines

Joanie

Joanie and her twin, Barbra, were born on April 24, 2006, which was Barbra Streisand's 64th birthday. Barbra got all the flashy looks and milk production genes.

Lady

Lady has such a pretty face and is dainty and feminine in every way. She's got a gorgeous udde and a beautiful deep brown coat. She is the smartest goat in my herd.

Monkey

Monkey's registed name is Money, but she is very mischevious so Ben thought of Monkey. She is adept at opening most gates. Monkey is Gem's daughter, a great milker for her first freshening at a year old

Raven

Raven is a beautiful and sweet LaMancha doe. She is petite and a little high strung, but is growing into a nice doe. She was the second most productive yearling milker I had this year, in spite of her small size.

Red

Red is the most "mature" doe in my very young herd. She's about 4. She has the sweetest spirit and a beautiful face. She is patient and of all the LaManchas, is the nicest to the Nubians.
